Story
This female was found on the ground in a park in northern Virginia, and almost certainly had been hit by a car. She has recovered well, but has permanent severe damage in both eyes and could never survive the long migration of her species back to nest in the boreal forests of Canada. She is very attractive and non-threatening to even small children, and being a Northern
Saw-Whet Owl, she is very calm around people.
