Story
Nipper, a North
American Kestrel, was hit by a car at National Airport
and suffered a luxated right elbow. There is no operation
to restore such joint damage in kestrels. Nipper has recovered
well, but is essentially non-flighted. He gets around
his small flight cage easily, and is very active and alert.
He is quite calm for a falcon, and makes many public appearances.
