How can you help our education birds?

All of our education birds have permanent injuries or problems that prevent them from surviving in the wild. They will require continued care for the rest of their lives. Your donation will provide our education raptors with a quality diet, equipment, housing, and help cover necessary medical expenses. When you sponsor one of our educational raptors, you are providing a donation that will be used exclusively for the care of our birds.

How does the Adopt-A-Raptor program work?

When you adopt a raptor you or your gift recipient will receive our basic adoption kit:

  • A certificate of adoption;
  • A description of your chosen bird's personal history; and,
  • A professional photo of your adopted bird.

Our Adopt-A-Raptor program has three levels:

Hatchling - $200

At the Hatchling level you will receive the basic adoption kit described above.

Fledgling - $350

At the Fledgling level you will receive the basic adoption kit and we will send you notifications when your adopted raptor will be out in public so you can meet the bird. (We apologize but our facility is closed to the public due to the number of birds in rehabilitation which are easily stressed.)

High FlieR - $500

At the High Flier level you will receive the basic adoption kit and we will send you notifications when your adopted raptor will be out in public so you can meet the bird. Also, we will notify you of opportunities to see a rehabilitated raptor be released back into the wild. (Please note all raptor releases will be conducted in northern Virginia.)
